Ann is a poet, photographer and novelist, and the winner of The Costa Prize for The Bower Bird (published by Luath Press), the second in a popular series of books about Gussie, a child with life-threatening health issues.
Ann is the author of five young adult books, three poetry anthologies and four books of her photographs.
She lives near St Ives in Cornwall in a house overlooking a vast expanse of sand and sea.
Ann runs regular creative writing courses for patients, medical students, doctors and carers and regularly holds writing workshops in schools
